The testing is by using light resistance against specific muscles moving in different ranges of motion. The test is more neurologically based than strength-based, however. I was surprised that when resisting pressure in one specific direction, my glutes/hip muscles sort of gave up and were weaker than the other directions. But Williams seems pleased with Sarkisian's staff as well, and the new coach was overjoyed to inherit a talent of Williams' magnitude. The Bandersnatch that Ive rode for the last few years is an 18, but really only on paper, since the seat tube is about 2 inches past the top tube. The Niner that Ive been riding is a 16 and fit well but like I said Im not comfortable with a foot of seatpost sticking out. I ultimately went with the 20 though I think the 18 would have been good too. Venzo 29er frames apparently all have the same size top tube at 575mm, and the only real change in size is the seat tube.
